                                  BEVERLYWOOD HOMES ASSOCIATION
BULLETIN FOR WEEK ENDING JULY 12, 2019

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR BOARD DIRECTORS: BHA is calling for candidates to run for the BHA Board. Candidate statement solicitation notices will be emailed next week. If you are a member of the Association in good  standing and interested in running for the BHA Board, please consider applying by the deadline. Eligible candidate statements that are received timely will be mailed to the membership by September 19, 2019. Five directors will be elected to a two-year term at our Semi–Annual Meeting and Annual Election on Thursday, October 24, 2019. For further details please go to our website:  www.beverlywoodhoa.com Click on Resources and then BHA Election Rules and Procedures.

NO BROWNING OUT OF LAWNS: Despite the water conservation efforts, we wish to remind you that limited watering is still required to keep landscaping looking healthy and green.  Browning out your lawn is in violation of BHA rules.

RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE RECAP: This past Sunday, July 7th BHA sponsored a Red Cross blood drive (organized by Director Marci Sandell).  On the day of the year, that is traditionally one of the most difficult days to get donors (the Sunday after the 4th of July weekend), we successfully collected 22 pints of blood which can save up to 66 lives! Thank you to all of you who came out to donate.

Interesting statistics from the Red Cross:
   •     Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood
   •     More women than men donate blood
The top 3 reasons people give the Red Cross for not donating blood are:
   1.     They were never asked to give
   2.     Giving blood is inconvenient
   3.     They are afraid to give blood

With your generosity, BHA is looking forward to more successful blood drives!
Don’t worry, we will try to avoid reason number one and make sure we ask you again next time!

There was a home burglary on Sunday, July 7, 2019 on the 9100 block of Sawyer Street at approximately 6:00-6:30 pm. Entry was through a rear sliding glass door and the home was not equipped with an alarm or camera system.

BHA OFFICE STAFF UPDATE: We are pleased to announce that Brianna Swift is BHA’s new Assistant Community Manager. She will be helping Antoinette Ferraro in the office. We are excited to have Brianna on-board. Please join us in giving her a big warm welcome!
